tenniscoachUK is the independent professional body for tennis coaches in the UK. Coaches pay a yearly membership fee to join the organisation of just £49!

Coaches with a recognised coaching qualification, including the LTA, PTR, RPT and ITA, are eligible to join as well as any foreign coach with a recognised qualification from their home federation.    We also accept membership from assistants who have attended a minimum of two days accredited training with a recognised training body.

Standard Membership

Standard membership for all coaches and assistants is just £49 for a calendar year and includes the following benefits and services:

  • Effective representation – we ask and listen to your views and opinions on the issues affecting your profession and the sport. We use this feedback to determine what benefits and services we should provide for coaches, and to lobby the governing body on behalf of coaches.
  • Expert advice and support service on all aspects of coaching including contracts, club/centre disputes, mentoring, business matters, legal issues and much much more!
  • Regular news, advice and information through our email newsletter and bi-monthly full colour magazine, packed with news, views, and special offers!
  • Membership to TennisOne.com, one of the world’s leading resource web sites (worth $80 per annum!)
  • Free / subsidised regional training – we run a FREE national roadshow each year across England, Scotland and Wales.  We also run regular conferences and workshops.
  • Affiliated Supplier offers on a wide range of goods and services, including rackets, clothing and balls
  • Comprehensive coach insurance cover for complete peace of mind.  Our Standard Membership, for sole traders, includes £10 million Public Liability Insurance Cover along with Basic Personal Accident Cover should you have an accident on court and £10 million Professional Indemnity Cover.  Tailored insurance cover can be arranged  for coaches who operate as a limited company.
  • Contracts - this is a must for coaches working on a self employed or on an employed basis.  We have contracts available FREE to members
Extra Membership Options

We provide cheap comprehensive optional insurance, at very low prices, for coaches who employ other coaches/volunteers/helpers, and for those who are looking for legal protection cover.

Employers’ Liability Insurance – If you have paid or unpaid helpers, volunteers, parents or other coaches assisting you during your sessions or programme you will legally need this cover.

Brokers wll quote coaches upwards of £300 for this cover but we have negotiated a fantastic deal for members with our brokers.  Members can take out £10 million cover for just £25 a year, a saving of over 90%. Tick the EMPLOYERS LIABILITY COVER option on the Membership Application Form if you require this option.

Legal Protection Cover – We also provide our members with a comprehensive Legal Protection Policy which cover a wide range of legal costs which a coach might incur if they have a legal dispute with their club, employer, employee, customer etc.

This policy is available to members for just £25 per year. Tick the LEGAL PROTECTION option on the application form if your require this cover.
